PRESENTATION DES INTERVENANTS

Christina Batman (Irlande/Iran ) est chanteuse, comédienne et metteur en scène. C’est une artiste polyvalente à la croisée du théâtre, de la musique, et du cinéma.                                                                                                                                            

 Michael Corbidge (UK) est Senior Voice and Text Associate à la Royal Shakespeare Company. Il enseigne le travail de la voix dans le monde entier.

Christina & Michael travaillent ensemble depuis plus d’une décennie, leur approche est vive, ludique et investigative.
Depuis 2021 ils enseignent régulièrement à L’ESNAM.

CONTENU DE LA FORMATION

Objectifs pédagogiques

1. Partager une exploration approfondie de l'approche de Batman & Corbidge en matière de voix et de textes classiques et contemporains, tant parlés que chantés.

2. Fournir de nouveaux outils et pratiques afin de créer des compositions théâtrales vivantes et construire des structures composées dans l’espace. Comprendre les principes puissants du jeu improvisé et de l’usage de la voix pour la mise-en-scène.

3. Explorer le spectre complet de la voix et son application à la construction de nouvelles formes individuelles et chorales. Créer des mélanges improvisés des paysages sonores parlés et chantés de l’ensemble.

4. Libérer l'imagination créative de l'individu et sa capacité à prendre des risques pour raconter des histoires.

Déroulé de la formation

Jour 1 : Découverte de la dynamique vocale et des éléments constitutifs du langage et du son inspirés.

Jour 2 : Approche du chant improvisé, la matière première du son et de sa juxtaposition avec le texte parlé.
(Prose & Poésie / Classique & Contemporain)

Jour 3 : Exploration de thèmes choisis dans Shakespeare pour la narration parlée et chantée.

Jour 4 : Création de tableaux physiques pour incorporer la voix et construire l’environnement visuel et sonore.

Jour 5 : Création de tableaux physiques pour incorporer la voix et construire l’environnement visuel et sonore.

Jour 6 : Partage des nouvelles formes qui ont été créés. Echanges & évaluations.

MOYENS PEDAGOGIQUES ET TECHNIQUES

Jeux Théâtraux, exploration détaillé de l’instrument Vocal/Corporel, l’analyse de textes, View Points.

PRESENTATION OF THE SPEAKERS

Christina Batman (Ireland/Iran) is a singer, actor and director. She is a versatile artist at the crossroads of theatre, music and film. 

Michael Corbidge (UK) is Senior Voice and Text Associate at the Royal Shakespeare Company. He teaches voice work around the world.Michael Corbidge 

Christina & Michael have worked together for over a decade, their approach is lively, playful and investigative.Since 2021 they have been teaching regularly at ESNAM. 

CONTENT OF THE COURSE

Pedagogical objectives

1. To share an in-depth exploration of Batman & Corbidge's approach to voice and classical and contemporary texts, both spoken and sung.

2. To provide new tools and practices for creating vivid theatrical compositions and building compound structures in space. To understand the powerful principles of improvisational acting and the use of voice in staging.

3. Explore the full spectrum of the voice and its application to the construction of new individual and choral forms. Create improvised blends of the spoken and sung soundscapes created by  the ensemble.

4. Unleashing the individual's creative imagination and ability to take risks in storytelling.

Course of the training

Day 1: Discovery of vocal dynamics and the constituent elements of inspired language and sound.

Day 2: Approach to improvised singing, the raw material of sound and its juxtaposition with spoken text.(Prose & Poetry / Classical & Contemporary)

Day 3: Exploration of selected themes in Shakespeare for spoken and sung narration.

Day 4: Creating physical tableaux to incorporate voice and build the visual and aural environment.

Day 5: Creating physical tableaux to incorporate voice and build the visual and aural environment.Day 6: Sharing the new forms that have been created.

Exchange & evaluation.
